Vehicle Waiver and Authorization Form

CT EMISSIONS CONCIERGE — Vehicle Service & Liability Waiver

1. Authorization and Permissive Use

By booking this service, the Customer warrants that they are the legal owner or authorized agent of the vehicle provided. The Customer explicitly grants CT Emissions Concierge and its operators full permission to operate the vehicle on public roads, drive it to and from official Connecticut emissions testing facilities, and perform necessary road-driving patterns for drive-cycle monitor readiness.

2. No Guarantee of Passing or Monitor Readiness

The Customer acknowledges that payment is strictly for the time, labor, and transport services provided.

• • Emissions Concierge Service ($49.99): CT Emissions Concierge does not guarantee the vehicle will pass the state inspection. If the vehicle fails due to mechanical issues or hidden codes, the service fee is non-refundable.
• • Readiness Drive ($75, in addition to the $49.99 service): CT Emissions Concierge will perform specialized driving routines for up to three (3) hours to try to set internal readiness monitors. Because of underlying vehicle health variables, sensor conditions, or software limitations, there is no guarantee that the monitors will successfully set. If the monitors fail to set during the drive, the $75 service fee remains fully earned and non-refundable.

3. Pre-Existing Mechanical Conditions & Mechanical Breakdowns

The Customer certifies that the vehicle is in safe, sound mechanical condition, with all fluid levels topped off and no active overheating or severe mechanical faults.

• • CT Emissions Concierge operates vehicles prudently and in accordance with standard traffic laws.
• • CT Emissions Concierge is not liable for any mechanical, electrical, structural, or component failures that occur during normal vehicle operation (including but not limited to: blown head gaskets, cracked radiator necks, transmission failures, worn alternators dying, or sudden sensor failures). Any pre-existing issues or failures that occur on the road are the sole financial responsibility of the Customer.

4. Fuel Requirement for Readiness Drive

For the $75 Readiness Drive, the Customer agrees to provide the vehicle with no less than a half-tank of fuel. If a vehicle is picked up with less than a half-tank, the EVAP monitor may be unable to run. If CT Emissions Concierge must add fuel to complete the drive, the cost of the fuel plus a $15 convenience fee will be billed directly to the Customer.

5. Traffic Violations and Equipment Infractions

• • CT Emissions Concierge assumes full liability for any moving violations (e.g., speeding, failure to stop) caused directly by driver error while operating the vehicle.
• • The Customer remains solely responsible for any automated plate-based citations or pre-existing equipment infractions (e.g., expired registration tags, heavily tinted windows, cracked windshields, non-functioning exterior lights, or bald tires).

6. Insurance Acknowledgement

The Customer understands that their personal automotive insurance policy serves as the primary coverage for the vehicle while in CT Emissions Concierge's care. CT Emissions Concierge does not currently carry commercial liability insurance.

By checking the agreement box at booking and handing over the keys, the Customer agrees to all terms and conditions outlined above.
