Important: CT Emissions Concierge provides vehicle pickup, transportation, and appointment coordination. We do not perform mechanical repairs or maintenance.

Tested, not "guaranteed to pass." The service covers transport and time in line. If a vehicle fails, the official report explains what needs attention; repairs and retesting remain the owner's responsibility.

That's $49.95 for OUR pickup-and-return service. You pay the shop separately for the actual work — the shop calls you with the bill, you pay them directly, and we pick your car up when it's done. Same as our emissions service: our fee is ours, their fee is theirs. No surprises.
How it works
1. You book the appointment.
Schedule your oil change, tire service, or dealership visit like you normally would — then tell us when and where.
2. We pick up your car.
We come to you — home, work, wherever the car is — and take it to the shop.
3. The shop does the work.
They call YOU with the bill. You pay them directly. We don't touch your money and theirs.
4. We bring it back.
When the work is done, we pick your car up and return it to you. You handled your day — we handled your car.
Car Care Pickup & Return FAQs
How much does it cost?
$49.95 for qualifying local appointments. That covers our pickup-and-return service — we take your car to the shop and bring it back. A distance surcharge may apply for appointments farther out; we'll always tell you the total before you book.
Need multiple stops in one run? $49.95 covers the first stop, $19.95 for each additional stop up to three, within our service area.
If your car stays at the shop overnight, picking it up the next day is a separate $49.95 booking.
What do I pay the shop?
Whatever the shop charges for the actual work — oil change, tires, brakes, whatever it is. That's between you and the shop. They'll call you with the bill, you pay them directly. Our $49.95 is separate and only covers getting your car there and back.
Which shops can you take my car to?
Any shop you choose — your dealership, your local tire shop, your trusted mechanic. You book the appointment; we handle the driving.

What if the shop finds something wrong while they have my car?
They'll call you — not us. It's your car and your decision. You approve (and pay for) any extra work directly with the shop, and we'll bring your car home when it's done.

You don't have time for the DMV? We do. When the transaction permits a representative, we prepare your paperwork, collect the required documents, and handle eligible DMV registration and title transactions on your behalf.

DMV services are subject to Connecticut DMV requirements. Some transactions require the vehicle owner to appear in person. DMV fees, taxes, testing fees, and other government charges are separate from our service fees.
How do I know what to write the check for?
You don't have to figure it out — we do. Tell us what you need done, and we'll look up the exact Connecticut DMV fee and tell you the amount. You write a check made out to "DMV" (preferred) or provide cash, and we deliver it with your paperwork. We never pay the state's fees out of pocket.
How do I pay the DMV state fees?
By personal check, made out to "DMV" — that's our preference. Please no cash and no cashier's checks; a regular check from your checkbook is all we need. We'll tell you the exact amount before your appointment.
What about sales tax?
If you bought your vehicle in a private sale, Connecticut collects sales tax when it's registered. That tax is separate from our $49.95 service fee and separate from the DMV's registration fees — and it's paid to the state, not to us. We'll flag it before your appointment so there are no surprises.
State registration fees and any sales tax go on one check made out to "DMV." Our $49.95 service fee is always separate — that's paid to us, not the state.

Sometimes our scan shows your car's monitors aren't ready — this often happens after a dead battery. You have options:
Readiness Drive — $75 flat fee
We'll drive your car for about three hours to try to set the monitors so it can be tested. There's no guarantee the monitors will set, and we'll tell you that upfront.
If your car is throwing trouble codes, we'll tell you straight: see your mechanic first, then we'll handle the emissions test after.
Readiness Monitor Reset Assistance — Additional $75.00
If your vehicle's readiness monitors are not set because a diagnostic code was cleared, the battery was disconnected, or the battery died, an additional $75 flat fee applies for readiness monitor reset assistance.
We will make a reasonable attempt to help the vehicle's readiness monitors reset through appropriate driving procedures.
Important Disclaimer: There is no guarantee that the readiness monitors will reset or that the vehicle will pass emissions testing. Additional mechanical repairs, replacement parts, or diagnostic repairs are not included in this fee and are the vehicle owner's responsibility.
The $75 readiness monitor reset assistance fee is in addition to the $49.95 standard service fee.
